chernigivThe All-Ukrainian Student Olympiad on “Electronic devices and systems” was held on April 18-21, 2016 in Chernihiv. It was organized by Department of Industrial Electronics and Department of Biomedical Radioelectronic Apparatus and Systems of Chernihiv National University of Technology. Main sponsors of this event was IEEE Ukraine Section Young Professionals Affinity Group and IEEE Ukraine Section.

The participants were offered the original tasks in power electronics, microprocessor technics, analogue and digital electronics, measuring instruments, solid state electronics.

The jury were invited scholars, educators from National Technical University of Ukraine “Kyiv Polytechnic Institute”, National Technical University “Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute”, Kherson National Technical University, Sumy State University and Chernihiv National Technological University.

In the individual competition first place won Valery Solovyov (National Technical University of Ukraine “Kyiv Polytechnic Institute”); second place won Oleksandr Matyushkin (Chernihiv National University of Technology); third place won Taras Porodko (Chernihiv National University of Technolog).

In the team standings first place won the team of Chernihiv National University of Technology; second place won the team of the National Technical University of Ukraine “Kyiv Polytechnic Institute”; third place won the team of Sumy State University.

In addition, special diplomas were awarded to Valery Solovyov (NTUU “KPI”) – for the best solved task in power electronics and analogue electronics; Oleksandr Matyushkin (ChNTU) – for the best solved task in digital electronics; Taras Porodko (ChNTU) – for the best solved task in measuring instruments; Sergiy Batachenko (NTU “Kharkov Polytechnic Institute”) and Sergiy Yatsenko (ChNTU) – for the best solved tasks in microprocessor technics; Ivan Litvinenko (Sumy State University) – for the best solved task in solid state electronics.

Winners have received prizes from the IEEE Ukraine Section Young Professionals Affinity Group – Arduino boards and accessories. Our congratulations to all the winners of the Olympiad and wish further success in training and new victories!
