The IEEE Ukraine Section was formed on November 21, 1991 and represents the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) in Ukraine. We hope that many older members will come forward – bringing us information about our past and about the accomplishments of our predecessors.
Some Election milestones:
2013 – Section Election with more than one candidate for the Chairperson position.
2015 – Section Election with few candidates for all Section Officers positions. Election organized by IEEE VTools. Voting is completely anonymous. Candidates represent different organizations from all parts of Ukraine.
2016 – Section subunits elections organized in the same way (few candidates, anonymous voting, and VTools).
2019 – Transformation of a Section Vice Chair position to a Section Vice-Chair/Chair-Elect position. Chair-Elect automatically holds a Chair position for the next 2-year term. The Chair Direct Election was stopped. It is allowed to have one candidate for the position of Secretary. It is allowed to have one candidate for the position of Treasurer.
2025 – It is nessesary to have minimum two candidates for the positions of Secretary and Treasurer.
